  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 cups sliced peaches
  • Half a stick of butter

Instructions

  • Peel and slice fresh peaches, preparing about 4 cups.
  • Mix flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder until smooth to create a batter.
  • Pour 3/4 of the batter into a buttered baking dish.
  • Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the batter.
  • Cover with the remaining batter.
  • Dot the top with butter (about the size of an egg).
  • Pour 1 1/2 cups of boiling water over the top.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour, or until firm.
